life coaching
Life Coaching is different than Psychotherapy (therapy) Services in that life coaching is specific to helping clients achieve a specific goal, skill set, and has a timeframe to achieve the goals outlined together. Life Coaching is working specifically with the present and future whereas, therapy encompasses primarily of the past and helping the client heal parts of the past to live a more fulfilling present and future. Psychotherapy is primarily working from a mental health framework.
Although I am also a licensed therapist, there are times when life coaching is a better service to offer a client especially, when there is no identified mental health diagnosis we would be working with and there are specific goals outlined in working together such as gaining a better understanding of meditation practices, mindfulness, and/or spiritual principles.
Some of the life coaching services Mindful Movement offers include; career/education exploration, support during life transitions, spiritual coaching, and mindfulness practices.
We can explore together if life coaching is the right fit for you.
reiki
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy-based practice that supports the body’s natural ability to regulate, restore, and return to a sense of balance. From a therapeutic perspective, Reiki can help clients connect with their internal cues, settle their nervous system, and cultivate a deeper sense of safety in the present moment. Through hands placed just above the body, Reiki encourages grounding, relaxation, and mindful awareness, often reducing physical tension and emotional overwhelm.
Reiki can be offered as a standalone healing modality or integrated into a therapy session to enhance regulation. When used in-session, it may serve as a grounding technique to help clients reconnect with their bodies, soften anxiety or activation, and prepare for deeper therapeutic work. Some clients benefit from beginning or ending sessions with brief Reiki-based grounding to support nervous system settling, strengthen mind–body awareness, and increase their capacity to engage meaningfully in treatment.
Overall, Reiki offers a calming, supportive complement to therapeutic work, helping clients shift from dysregulation into a state where insight, processing, and healing can unfold more naturally.
